Sunday morning mooching

It's a sleepy Sunday morning, and even the early-waking son obliged by sleeping in til 6:30 am. Ah, the sheer bliss! Mind you, I had initially been woken at 5:36 am by the rustling and shuffling of my beloved Birdman, as he gathered his equipment and dressed to go 'birding'. You know what they say - the early worm gets the bird. Or something like that.

So now the non-bird-obsessed members of the family remain at home, munching peanut butter toast, resisting the pleading looks from the beagle. I can't seem to relinquish my Thumper pyjamas in favour of daytime attire. Flannelette is just so darn comfortable (not awfully attractive, I grant you, but just sooooo cosy!)

I'm contemplating some housework, but contemplation is all I've managed so far.

Maybe after another piece of toast......

Jimmy & I are doing our best to pass the word around that housework should only be done on rainy days, when you are forced to remain indoors...I agree housework is evil.

6:30 A.M.????
It's not even daylight is it? My inner clock doesn't compute anything but daylight. The only time I see 6:30 is when the cat relentlessly won't stop meowing and I have to get up to put it out!

Your little fat beagle would have fit right into my post.*LOL*
My cat Daisy is so fat everyone swears she's going to have kittens...that'll never happen or the vet will be paying child support.

Love your little cute Thumper jammies.

You just insist on showing off those Thumper jammies, don't you? ;-)

AIP, my attitude exactly!

I too am rather partial to flannette, but I opt for a rather sedate striped pattern. You probably didn't even notice that in that photo of me and hubby having breakfast outdoors, I was still wearing my flannette pajamas - nice combo with the gumboots!

My vote goes to the toast. And I love the jammies, Jelly.

I, myself, have a very similar pair which I wear all the time. Much to my Boo's dismay. He'd much prefer to see me in satin than in flannel.

But alas, I do live up in the wild blue North...

haaaaaaaa! I love that you are contemplating housework. it would be unhealthy to just make a rash decision, that is my opinion anyway.

hahhaah!

I think you should do your housework in your jammies, then when it's time to go back to bed, you'll be ready.

Very cute puppy, obviously looking for some morsel that will inevitably fall from the table.

Jelly,
I agree, housework is way overrated.
There is nothing wrong with flannel, I wear them too (bottoms only.)

That's what Sundays are for, recuperating from the week past and resting up for the week ahead. No worries mate! (do y'all really say that?)

Ok I LOVE the pjs! I have that same calendar thinghy with all the 1950's pictures & cute little quotes. My favourite one is something like "when I grow up I want to be a total bitch like my mommy!"

I'm with ShellyC...I have a little plaque on my wall that says 'housework makes you ugly'...and I try to avoid it (housework) every chance I get.
I love your PJ's too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with flannel!!! What could be more soft and cuddly? Did you show your birdman the hawk? I hope he finds that bird he's looking for :)
