blogging blues

Lately, it seems there is never enough time. I feel like I rush from one place to another, and when I do have a spare moment, there are so many jobs I should be attending to. I feel that I'm letting some things slide that really should be done.

I love blogging, I really do, but sometimes, before I realise, I've been reading blogs for an hour. While that's OK now & then, I probably can't afford to do that every day. And the fact is - I often do.

I was really sad when I went to manababies site yesterday, and saw that she has shut down her blog. I will miss her sweetness and humour. Yet I could understand why, with her currently extra-busy life, the blogging had to go. As she said herself, 'it's time'.

I'm not planning to stop blogging altogether - I don't think I physically could! But I think I'll take a leaf out of John Cowart's book and take a short break. I think a week should do it.

I hope you all have a happy, healthy week. See you next Sunday :)

Jelly...enjoy your week away from blogging. I will miss you while you are gone, but sometimes it's good to slide that mouse back and give blogging a break, to tend to other things.

I was also upset when I went to manababies site and found it closed down the other day. I will miss her and miss seeing her lovely children grow-up before our eyes.
But I can understand her decision...As well as yours.

We'll miss you!

No, sorry, you don't have our permission to disappear. What will we read all week? Blogging is the best excuse for not working I have ever found! I guess all you folks taking breaks must have a life away from the computer? Go figure...

Okay, you have our permission to take a very short break since you raised your hand and sorta asked our permission. But, we're none too happy about it. (Yeah, okay, I took a short break along with others that we know, but I'm back.) We hope you have a nice rest and come back to us with new and fresh posts.

I guess you will have to make a pie and post pictures of it to get our attention again, nez pas? See you on the flip side, dear Jellyhead.

I didn't realize I wasn't blogging as much, I was so busy with the beginning of the school year. But you are right, blogging seems to go in seasons, and I, too, noticed Manababies was off now. Lots of blogs I read sometimes, but I am physically unable to keep up with most of them. I really don't think many people read mine or notice when I haven't posted, but I don't worry about it too much because that was not why I started blogging. I do find myself at all hours of the day and night saying things to my husband like, You should blog about that, or, That would make a funny post. It is funny that some things we find worthy of posting about and others we keep to ourselves. anyway, my whole family is napping, so I thought I would read a while.....

Jelly...we will miss you over the next week, but I think we understand why. Enjoy your week off, and can't wait to see what you come back with.

Jelly
Understood completely.
However, I know I'll check on you everyday anyway.
P.S. when your typing your writing contest about time, don't be peeking at any blogs lol ;-)

You are one of the favorite blogs of your blog buddies - so we will miss you. Sometimes I think that I spend too much time on it, but I LOVE to read the blogs. I don't always comment, but I usually read my favorites every day! Come back soon.

Sorry to have set a bad example for you to point out. I wish I hadn't done it because I check for your latest post every day.

But, I hope you find the time away refreshing.

I find your thoughts encouraging and I look forward to your return next Sunday.

Eagerly awaiting your return.

I did the same thing myself but then realized this was my hobby. I needed it as a break from life for me. I hope you enjoy your break but don't be gone too long.

Well, that is just my luck...back to blogging and arrive to find you are taking a break! LOL
But seriously, I have thoroughly enjoyed my break and extended it a wee bit longer than maybe I should have...but it's good to be back.
I will catch up with you when you return then :)

Jelly, I know just how you feel. Reading blogs and posting can sometimes feel all-consuming. I'm constantly castigating (hey there's some more alluring alliteration...and I wasn't even trying! :) myself for all the things that need doing....and that I'm NOT getting done.
I seriously need to spend less time on the computer!
Have a nice break. We'll miss you greatly!!! (of course) :)

Ah, someone else with the blogging blahs. It's good to take a break, Jelly, and don't worry, "we'll be ba-a-ack" to read your posts when you return.

After having to take a forced break from really blogging then working bugs out of my computer I am so happy to be back blogging so you take all the time you need to get in tune with yourself and save up some stories to tell us.
