So, today I found myself standing up in front of a very large crowd (several hundred people), doing a gorilla impersonation. This is where my life has taken me.
Fatty, Laura, Ben and I were singled out by the compere of a large theme park (mean! mean! mean compere!) and I didn't want to be a party pooper.
I wasn't very good.

Was a picture captured for posterity?
No Mackey, fortunately there is no photo record of the wonderful moment. Our images were projected onto a huge stadium screen though....
They do have cell phones in Oz so perhaps we'll see you on uTube, hehehe.
Jellyhead,
I'm sure your girlilla impersonation wowed the crowd. Fodder for Laura and Ben to bring up at family get togethers for years to come! ;)))
rel
They only pick out the gorgeous ones!!!!!
As they say in Glasgow:
"Aw naw"
Sympathy
awww, and you were brave enough to share your experience with us...things like that happen to most people and they hide their head in the sand. At least now we can sympathize with you :)....
What fun! Things like this make life exciting and different! And you will remember it forever, no???
This comment comes from a woman married to a shy man of Norweigan decent and she tries at every chance to get him to do things like this gorilla-making... to push his comfort zone so that he does not miss out on the good stuff. Because, as a memory, this will make for some good stuff.
Cheers to you, Jelly!
Maybe you should do the gorilla impersonation for the chemist and the teacher... oh, go ahead and toss 'em around a bit while you are at it, you will feel much better!
I wonder if Fatty was able to capture your act on film, maybe we can look forward to Jelly on U-Tube!
Audience participation is only funny if you don't get picked. You made me laugh and laugh with this.
oh, my.
HOW embarrassment!
you are a good sport aren't you. I can see a whole new career emerging.
Well, Jelly, life is full of challenges and I'm sure you did your best. But...how about a photo??
See, to me that just sounds like complete fun. :)
I only wish I could have seen you as a gorilla! Maybe you could recreate this and get a photo for us?
omg, I feel so sorry for you! I know that hideous sinking feeling.
Hugs~XXXXXXX
Aren't you the brave one - I bet that the kids will treasure the memory for years :)
How very intriguing this sounds!
Another reason I always try to sit right at the back...
A picture would've been worth a thousand words :)
You're such a good sport, Jelly. But your shy, retiring, birdwatching Fatty did this too? (I'm just guessing at the shy and retiring attributes) :)
Way to go Jelly and family!
