garden happy-snaps

OK, it's official. All rational thought has been eradicated from my brain
by the grocery shopping, the sandwich-making, the clothes-folding, the fight refereeing...

I must now resort to merely posting pictures. I may have to re-name this blog 'Jellyhead's Gallery'. I will simply snap, snap, snap all day, and show you what I've discovered, wordlessly. Or at least, with only a few succinct words.

Actually, I have just done a 'guest post' for a fellow blogger. It was a nerve-wracking experience. I didn't want to embarrass this blogger in front of her adoring audience. I squeezed my last tiny drop of creativity into writing something for my friend. Now I am a hollow vessel. A remarkably talkative hollow vessel, you may remark. Shush up. I'm going now.

I know what you mean, Jelly. Sometimes I want to post then I say "Oh hell, no one will be interested in that!" I guess we are all afraid of boring the audience. Your posts are always funny and interesting.

Well, the pictures you posted are lovely so we will forgive your vacation from rational thought. I wish I was as creative as you are.

Well, I liked your pictures and I liked your honesty about not having anything to say...we all have those moments...

And even when you didn't think you had anything to post, you told us a lot about a day in the life of a mother.

Love your pictures. I have those days a LOT where I just don't know what to post or what to say. Sometimes I just don't post at all. I am glad you did though.

You're very welcome, Heather. I'm glad you thought the post was OK.

Hehe, Heather chose well. I gave up on rational thinking years ago, which is why blogging is a great thing. I often wonder if I should close up the comments in case I DO bore everyone to tears. But then there is that sense of community one gets when you hear what people have to say.

This is such a great blog. You have this uncanny ability to write about things that would otherwise be boring and somehow you make them so funny or clever. And you do this so effortlessly, without sounding like you're trying too hard to be entertaining to your readers. How do you do that??

Manababies, what a sweet thing you are! Thank you for being so encouraging about my blogging. You really gave me a lift this morning!

And don't you dare close the comments section on your blog! I love coming to hear about your daily life. You celebrate the joys, but also admit the difficulties, of being a mother. You make me feel that we mothers are all in it together, and that's a real comfort!

I do this too. Why the other day I went a step further & just pounded my fingers on the keyboard & called it a post..mostly i was just letting people know i hadn't fallen off the face of the planet. I am glad you typed this one, it is good to relate...

Ramble all you like Jelly, and as everyone else said, we'll love reading whatever you have to say....you say it so well.
Your pictures are lovely!
Thanks for stopping by and seeing the kitties. We have 14 in our barn! (It's a big barn so they don't take up much space :) I left an answer to your question in the comment box on my blog but thought you might not see it. I forgot to say in the comment I left on your last post...I hope Laura's feeing better and that the karate test went well!!

I love seeing the pictures! I'm over from Heather's and thought you did a great job posting for her. blogging is a strange thing. We do it for ourselves, to write, to think outloud, for therapy's sake, but then the comments make us feel accepted and validated. So much so that they can be side tracking at times, and depressing when you don't get any! Sometimes I just post pictures for myself, so I remember this is my blog and I do it for me. Not for acceptance.
