it does a body good.....

to see new and beautiful places.
But it does a body a whole world of good to come home, too. I missed you guys! I spent last night reading your blogs and thinking how much I have come to be fond of all of you. For instance I am sad that fifi is going away, and I won't have her bright and quirky posts to read while she's gone (though of course I do want you to have a wonderful time fifi!)
I discovered that my wicked friend Heather was trying to sell my soul to the highest bidder! You just can't tame those Texas wildcats. But seriously now -thank you Heather, for keeping the home fires burning and posting for me!
I also remembered something I discover every time I go away on holidays to escape my life:
I actually like my life. I like my home, I like my job. I love my family and I love my friends. I even love my goddamn dog.
Now. If only I loved washing dirty clothes as well.

Welcome home Jelly! What glorious photos. I'm glad you've come home to remember that you like your life. None of us like washing dirty clothes, but I don't like the idea of wandering naked all the time either :)

Glad you're home Jelly, I missed you, but sometimes you need to get away from home & work to see that you really do like your life just the way it is.

Hey, welcome home, Jelly. It's good to see you back all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready to get back into the ratrace.

Heather was very good, she didn't succumb to our bribes of money (damn!).

Love that sunset and the two little ones looking at that awesome view.

Sorry about the dirty's one of the hazards of holidays...sent to bring us crashing back down to earth.

Have a good week>

Yay - Jellybelly, you're back!!
(I assure you that is a term of endearment).
The Sound of Music came straight to mind when I saw the kids - "climb every mountain...". Hope you weren't anywhere near those bushfires in NSW.
I got all confused when Heather posted (my drugs hadn't kicked in properly at that stage)but what struck me was how beautifully written her second last paragraph was ("But I've been thinking....).
You're very lucky to have such a good friend.
Hope you made lots of wonderful memories with your family and hope you enjoy appreciating your renewed delight in all things that are you.

Glad you had a great holiday!! Some things just are just not meant to be liked - washing dirty clothes is a big one and ironing is an even bigger one!!!!!

Glad you are all back safe and sound and loving your life again - the sole purpose of holidays I believe!

Enjoy settling back into domestic bliss :)

I came to visit you to desire a good week to you.
Much attention with our children. It has many criminals who steal them and kill.
Until always

Glad you had a good holiday, but also enjoy the thrill of coming home and resuming your life with your family.

I guess the dirty clothes are just the reality check.

Welcome back, dear.

Welcome home Jelly!
Beautiful photos. You could always be a home nudist, but on the other hand, you still have to go into the outside world....
And somehow, when all is said & done, nice clean washing is a 'free treat'.

Well hello there Ms. Jelly. Glad to have you back..and glad you're glad to be back :)
This could turn into a song I think........
Looks like you saw some beautiful sights during your travels. Those kiddies are adorable, and sunsets are such a lovely way to end a day..and begin an evening. Beautiful photos.
Hope you tasted some delicious wines and food.
Perhaps you could weedle and cajole Fatty into doing the laundry? Fat chance, right? ;)

If you had a "cool" washer and dryer like I do, you would love laundry too!
