It seems to be Monday morning already. The weekend has vanished into thin air.

I am feeling off-kilter today. Fatty has lost his wedding ring somewhere at our friends' place, I don't want to face work today, and I have discovered that I have wrinkles at the very corners of my mouth! All silly little things that are not important. I've got to snap out of this.

So, instead of writing any more whilst in this self-indulgent mood, I will show you some spring flowers from our garden. I'll think back to the weekend, when Fatty mowed the lawn under a vivid blue sky, I went swimming with my slippery giggling children, and we ate a seafood lunch on our friends' back deck while the kids ran crazily around the yard.

Inhale. Hold. Exhale.

Fake it until you make it.

"Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go!"

Love those flowers, Jelly.

hope your day improves.

It might be the season, & the dratted wind blowing.

What beautiful flowers! I love your photographs. Have I mentioned this before? Maybe I haven't. Well, I do.

1. The ring will be found, because your friends will find it.
2. You don't have wrinkles. Those are laugh lines. Which is a sign of character.
3. It will turn out to be a better day than you expected. I know this because you are going into it with low expectations; therefore you can not be disappointed. :)

Now go forth and conquer!

Cheer up Jelly...Fatty's ring will be found and the wrinkles on the side of your mouth will vanish. Those are probably just smiling wrinkles that tell the world what a happy person you really are.

It's nice to know that we are going to be seeing beautiful flowers from your side of the world, during our bleak winter months.

Spring in your part of the world holds the promise of fun times to come. Your flowers are so pretty, and your weekend sounds as if you had a really good time (even though Fatty lost his wedding ring). Hopefully it will be found and all will be right in the world.

Don't fret the wrinkles. They happen to the best of us. Get some wrinkle/moisturing cream and apply liberally every day for the rest of your life. You can pretend that these creams really work and the wrinkles will disappear. Don't forget to take before and after shots so you can justify spending lots of money on these OTC potions. Otherwise, accept the facts of life that grey hair, wrinkles, and sagging bottoms comes with age. Other people might call this "character." I call it acting your age.

Hope your week is a pleasant one filled with good things.

I happen to know for a fact that you have no wrinkles around your mouth. You are a glowingly beautiful woman.

Buck up, li'l camper. :-)

I came to your blog from Rel at Under the Microscope. Hope your day gets better - think we all get this sort of feeling once in a while - put it down to the full moon! Lines are signs of laughter and character and I'll bet the only person who can see them is you! I'm sure the wedding ring will turn up - it's probably down the side of a chair or something.

Well, I'm not a doctor like you, but I'm going to diagnose Mondayitis and prescribe a good night's sleep for you. Come Tuesday morning you will be feeling much better!

((hugs))

I agree with Flossy, it's just Monday, you could call in 'sick' and go back to bed. As a matter of fact, that sounds like a great idea...zzz

Oh! Keep up the good work on the writing contest, don't worry over it too much, just have fun with it, and DO send it in! JUST DO IT!

What gorgeous photos. All the flowers are why I love spring. Nearly everyone I spoke to today had a case of the dread Mondayitis. We all had fantastic weekends, and the wind and the full moon and Monday combined to make us feel blah. October blues.

Don't worry about lines in your face. Soon your eyes will go, and you won't be able to see the lines! Smile; you made all of us smile with your lovely flower photos! I hope you feel happy again soon!

Thanks eveyone for being so tolerant and kind to a mopey me. When I came home for lunch through the day, your comments really truly cheered me up! Then driving home from a good day at work, there was a spectacular sunset that had me in awe.

Wrinkles and lost ring be damned, life is a wonderful thing!

Now I miss my greenhouse Jelly.

Just when my trees are losing their leaves, yours are finding theirs...

I hope you and Fatty and family have a wonderful spring and summer.

We intend on having a wonderfully white winter over here!

I don't think I've seen any flowers from your garden before. They are so pretty. I love creepers in flower.

I hope you're feeling more like your normal cheerful self by now. I also hope that Fatty's wedding ring turns up. If not, you'll just have to get married again ... lol.

I'm glad your day brightened up Jelly. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and maybe just needed a few more winks (of sleep). I feel sure the ring will turn up...hope it has already, since I'm late reading this post.
Really Jelly, for someone who smiles as much as you do, did you think you WOULDN'T have laugh lines around your mouth? It's a sign of your good character...which is very cheery :)
