right here, right now

Those children of ours are playing doctor and patient. I would like to point out that it was my mother-in-law who gave our ratbags their medical kit. I myself would prefer they be given chef kits, so they can take over the cooking for me, or perhaps they could be gifted with mops or small vacuum cleaners. After all, I'm aiming to be like Redneck Mommy and have my kids earn their bed for the night!

Fatty is resolutely eating cereal and reading up on the Australian Open tennis. He is a pretty big sports fan and I suspect would read about ping pong if he found such an article.

I'm drinking coffee and reading the fashion section (because Fatty was hogging the news section when I started, and now I have got totally caught up in whether I should be wearing the mini dress or the sack dress this season. I'm thinking either would look fabulous on me. *small cough*)

That's our morning. Hello! from all of us!

The last thing I want to think about is fashion in this up coming spring.

Yes, I agree, daybyday. I think the world has far too much fashion in it already. Still, it's good for a laugh to see what crazy stuff they can come up with next.

Nice little window into your morning, Jelly. Thanks!

Jelly,
Thanks for sharing your day's start with us.
It really is the small everyday activities that gives commonality.
I have some cough drops for that *small cough* if you want?
There was a period when my teenaged daughter cooked supper regularly....I should have bought her a doctor kit. ;-)

Isn't it fun to watch the kids imagination in action! Thanks for a peek in to the window of your world, have a great day!

Thank you for sharing your "normal" morning life. Being mundane is great!

Your children are so precious. Are they copying their parents in any way?

Hope your day continues to be bright and cheery.

I tried to aim high and indoctrinate my kids into becoming doctors or people of science when they were little.

I finally gave up after the third trip to the local doc to get him to remove the raisin from the kids nose.

They'd put them up there and then try to remove them like that board game "Doctor".

Except they couldn't.

So now, they must learn manual labour.

I'm not that picky.

Thanks for thinking of me though! You always make me smile!

Lovely pics of your morning.
I used to say I didnt care if my kids swept gutters, as long as they were happy in what they were doing....

None of them did, but I wonder if they would have been happier...

I thought I'd commented on this post because I remember reading it....but no, I must've skipped off somewhere else....this is not unlike me!
My grandsons have a small vacuum cleaner. It's hilarious to watch Kyle (who'll be 3 in a couple of weeks) using his mini vacuum, while Daddy of Mummy use the big one :)
I think you should get after that Jellyma. Dr. kits indeed. You have a couple of Dr.s in the family already! Cleaners would be welcome in my house too!
Mmmmm, sacks and minis...both spectacularly elegant (small cough).

Obviously following in the footsteps of the best role model in the world - Mummy.
